Lead Software Developer - Senior I - ESW05 - Full Performance

Our Client is assisting a U.S. Government client in a major, mission-critical development program to conceive, construct, deliver, and operate a network operations environment that includes implementing new cyber capabilities to counter emerging threats. We are in need of a Senior Software Engineer with expertise in Python to contribute to the design, creation, and deployment of advanced cybersecurity capabilities.

Responsibilities:
• Collaborating as an essential member of Agile Scrum teams, participating in the design, testing, and implementation of cutting-edge cybersecurity software enhancements.
• Creating and executing automated builds, tests, and deployments.
• Preparing high-quality technical documentation, when required, such as user guides, test plans, and contractual deliverables, as well as supporting product training.
• Assisting in risk assessments and devising risk mitigation measures.

Required Qualifications:
• U.S. citizenship.
• Active Secret clearance. Must have the ability to acquire a TS/SCI clearance.
• Must have the ability to obtain DHS Suitability.
• A minimum of 8 years in a directly related role.
• More than 4 years of experience developing code, utilizing modern technologies and tools, with Java.
• Experience in Agile software development methodologies.
• Thorough understanding and hands-on experience with Windows and/or Linux operating systems.
• Proficiency in establishing well-structured, maintainable software and adherence to group coding standards and designs.
• Possession of, or a willingness to rapidly acquire, a comprehensive understanding of government information security policies, regulations, and guidelines.
• Participation in projects involving the integration of analytic models into operational systems.
• Ability to collaboratively work across agencies and physical locations.
• Strong experience and/or familiarity with Python programming.

Desired Qualifications:
• Experience with DevOps, DevSecOps, Continuous Development/Continuous Integration concepts, and automated testing tools such as Docker, Jenkins, JIRA, Git, Terraform, Ansible, Junit, JMeter, RSpec, and/or Cucumber.
• Experience and/or familiarity with various AWS Services (AWS Glue, ETL Processing, Lambda, RDS, Redshift).
• Demonstrated experience and/or familiarity with one or more of the following database technologies: SQL, Oracle, MySQL, JBDC, NOSQL, etc.
• Solid technical understanding of cybersecurity attack techniques and corresponding mitigation measures.
• Experience and/or familiarity with Programming IDEs and Web-Based notebooks (VScode, Apache Zeppelin, Jupyter Notebooks).
• Knowledge and experience working with the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
• Familiarity with STIX, TAXII specifications.

Required Education:
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, or Computer Systems Engineering. [An alternative is ten years of experience (for a total of eighteen or more years) in lieu of a degree.]

Desired Certifications:
• Certifications related to AWS, such as AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner or AWS Certified Developer Associate.
• DoD 8570.1 IAT Level II Certification.
• Certifications related to Agile development and the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), such as SAFe Practitioner (SP) or SAFe Program Consultant (SPC).
