SolidWorks Mechanical Project Design Engineer

  • Minimum of two years of experience as a Project Engineering Manager or Project Engineer, and at least two years of engineering designer experience

We are currently seeking a full-time 3D SolidWorks Mechanical Project Engineer to join our rapidly expanding company that specializes in custom structural, system, and metal component manufacturing. Our clientele encompasses a diverse range of industries, including biotechnology, food, and pharmaceutical companies. At our company, we prioritize the growth and development of our employees, offering numerous advancement opportunities. With approximately 100 employees and a 30-year history, we have not had any layoffs since 2007.

For candidates with the appropriate aptitude and drive, the potential to advance into a project management role is available. This position is the result of our continued company growth, driven by the demand for our products. The responsibilities of the successful candidate will include:

  • Managing projects to ensure adherence to timelines and budgets
  • Developing schedules and budgets for various custom engineering projects
  • Creating, engineering, fabricating, and testing custom engineering projects
  • Reviewing detailed 3D SolidWorks drawings for custom engineering projects
  • Collaborating with vendors and customers from diverse backgrounds
  • Working closely with engineering and production teams
  • Supporting and collaborating with project engineers
  • Establishing and maintaining the Production Ready Library
  • Executing Engineering Change Notices
  • Creating accurate bills of materials
  • Coordinating integrations with other systems
  • Overseeing field installations

The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications:

  • Minimum of two years of experience as a Project Engineering Manager or Project Engineer
  • At least two years of engineering design experience
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, or three years of relevant engineering experience in the pharmaceutical, chemical, or food industries
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with a minimum of two years of experience
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
  • Strong work history with proven success
  • Must be a US citizen or possess a Green Card
  • Residence within a 45-minute commute of the company
