Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Specialized Mechanical Design Engineer – Plastic Extrusion Tooling to join a growing, employee-friendly, ISO-certified manufacturer of plastic extrusion products. Key Responsibilities:

  • Design plastic extrusion tooling for profile extrusion, co-extrusion, and tri-extrusion applications.

  • Lead efforts in designing, building, modifying, installing, and maintaining extrusion tooling and related equipment.

  • Support machine operators and machinists to ensure optimal production performance.

  • Fine-tune and adjust extrusion tooling for peak efficiency.

  • Collaborate closely with the manufacturing team to troubleshoot issues and enhance production processes.

  • Utilize MasterCAM and Fusion 360 software for design work.


Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of dedicated experience in plastic extrusion tooling design, specifically for profile, co-extrusion, and tri-extrusion applications.

  • 3+ years of strong hands-on extrusion processing experience.

  • In-depth knowledge of extrusion processing methods and best practices.

  • Solid, stable work history.

  • U.S. citizenship or Green Card holder status is required.

  • Residence within a 45-minute commute of the Kohler, WI area.
