As a Communication Therapist, you will be responsible for preventing, assessing, diagnosing, and offering guidance and rehabilitation for individuals with speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders throughout Tuskegee, AL.
Job Description
Deliver transformative treatment, support, and assistance for both children and adults facing challenges with communication, eating, drinking, and swallowing. You will play a vital role in helping individuals who face difficulties in speaking and expressing themselves due to physical or psychological reasons.
While the patients might be capable of performing other activities, their speech may require therapy. Furthermore, part of your responsibilities will entail educating the staff about the importance and value of speech therapy.
It is essential to possess a valid SLPA certificate prior to the commencement of employment.
Additionally, CPR certification, TB skin test, Auto Insurance, and Driver License are mandatory.
Education, Training, and Experience:
Minimum requirement: Completion of an Associate degree or graduation from a Speech-Language Pathology assistant certificate program.
While experience is preferred, it is not mandatory.
