Sr. Control Engineer

Location: Raleigh, NC

Seeking a highly skilled Senior Control Engineer to join our team in the Raleigh, NC area. As a Senior Control Engineer, you will be responsible for analyzing system requirements, developing control strategies, designing control systems, programming PLCs, troubleshooting and maintaining control systems, and managing project timelines and budgets.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop control strategies and design control systems for industrial automation applications
  • Program and configure PLCs and HMI systems to meet system requirements
  • Troubleshoot and maintain control systems, including PLCs, HMIs, drives, and networks
  • Collaborate with other engineers and project managers to ensure projects are completed within budget and on time
  • Conduct testing and commissioning of automation systems
  • Provide technical support to clients and end-users
  • Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends in automation and control systems

Requirements:

  • Senior Controls Engineer: 10 to 14 years of experience in industrial automation
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%

Desirable Experience: Having one or more of the following experiences is a plus:

  • Worked for an industrial systems integrator as a Controls Engineer (preferred)
  • Experience with Allen-Bradley PLC programming (preferred)
  • Experience with Siemens PLC programming (preferred)
  • Knowledge of other controller systems such as Omron, Telemecanique, Mitsubishi, GE Fanuc, and PLC Direct
  • Experience with SCADA software such as Ignition, FactoryTalk View, ICONICS Genesis32/64, iFix, Wonderware, VTScaada, WinCC, Citect, and others
  • Familiarity with Servos Drives & Robotics including Parker SSD Drives, Allen-Bradley, IAI, Yaskawa/Motoman, Schneider Electric, Universal Robots, Fetch Robotics, Omron Adept, Mitsubishi, Siemens, Staubli, Fanuc, AUBO, KUKA, ABB, and MiR
  • Experience with DCS systems like FactoryTalk View, ControlLogix and PlantPAx, Fisher PROVOX, Moore APACS, and Siemens
  • Knowledge of PLC programming, HMI design, and industrial networks (Ethernet/IP, Profibus, etc.)
  • Experience in designing and implementing industrial automation systems
  • Familiarity with industrial communication protocols such as OPC, Modbus, and TCP/IP
  • Knowledge of electrical control panel design and construction
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, P&IDs, and other engineering drawings
  • Education in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or a related field
