We are seeking an ultrasound technician with exceptional skills and flexibility for our San Francisco location. The successful candidate must have the ability to work alternative shifts and be available for on-call shifts, weekends, and holidays. This position requires the capacity to work at various medical center locations and adapt to changing department needs.

Responsibilities include:

  • Gathering relevant patient information from physicians prior to performing sonograms.
  • Preparing patients and equipment for imaging.
  • Ensuring optimal image quality and identifying equipment malfunctions.
  • Performing diagnostic sonography studies for inpatients and outpatients.
  • Maintaining credentials according to industry standards.

Flexibility to work at different medical center locations and adapt to varying shifts is required for these positions.

Requirements:

  • Completion of an accredited ultrasound training program.
  • Flexible scheduling and availability for alternative shifts, weekends, and holidays.
  • ARDMS credentials in Abdomen and OB/Gyn specialties.
  • BLS certification.
  • 2-5 years of experience as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer or an equivalent background in an ultrasound department.
  • Maintaining ARDMS credentials according to industry standards.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • ARDMS certification in Abdominal and OB/GYN Sonography.
  • Prior experience in the field of ultrasound.
  • BLS Certification.
  • Graduated from a CAHEEP accredited ultrasound program?
  • 2-5 years of experience as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, or equivalent experience.
  • Flexible scheduling and availability for weekend and holiday coverage.

PREFERRED

  • Experience in pediatrics.
  • Prior hospital experience.
  • Expertise in OB, thyroid, and transplant kidney and liver ultrasounds.

IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • Prior experience in a hospital or pediatrics setting.
  • Specialization in OB, thyroid, and transplant kidney and liver ultrasounds along with pancreas and sterile procedures.
  • Strong teamwork, motivation, leadership, communication, and adaptability skills.
  • Willingness to work at various locations and during variable hours.
