Location: Peoria, IL

Salary: 175-225K + Full Benefits + Paid Relocation + SIGNING BONUS

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the Divisional Safety and Sustainability strategy, and oversee its execution
  • Lead and guide a team of EHS and Occupational Health Professionals, providing technical and cultural support
  • Collaborate with senior leadership and facility managers to achieve divisional and enterprise EHS goals
  • Supervise a team of Occupational Health nurses, ensuring the delivery of high-quality medical services
  • Create innovative EHS solutions to achieve Zero Injury using data analytics and cultural insights
  • Identify and establish guidelines for protection from safety/health/environmental hazards
  • Develop and oversee divisional sustainability goals and projects
  • Monitor and report all divisional EHS metrics
  • Manage conformance and compliance risks through assessments and counseling
  • Facilitate EHS governance, communication, and professional development
  • Ensure compliance with dangerous goods shipping regulations
  • Mentor and support facility EHS teams throughout the division
  • Build relationships and understand the needs of internal customers
  • Share best-in-class examples of EHS Assurance Manual Requirements
  • Deliver technical EHS leadership and interactive training
  • Act as a liaison with regulatory/governmental agencies
  • Represent the Division in corporate and national/international EHS organizations

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 10+ years of EHS experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health and Safety or similar field of study
  • Strongly preferred: Foundry experience
  • Effective communication skills, including executive level
  • Experience building and executing EHS strategies to improve culture
  • Visionary leadership with the ability to inspire and engage teams
  • EHS experience in manufacturing and/or logistics environments
  • Experience working with a global team
  • Proven ability to drive Safety Culture Change within a large organization
  • Expertise in evaluating and solving complex EHS issues
  • Thorough understanding of complex EHS concepts and regulations
  • Delivery of Lean processes and solutions
