Job Description

Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Location: Beaumont, TX

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying your knowledge and expertise in electrical power distribution to identify and resolve issues and ensure safe and reliable plant operations. You will also play a crucial role in improving plant performance and reliability by implementing modifications and managing new projects.   • Provide expert coverage and troubleshooting for low, medium, and high voltage electrical systems
  • Update and maintain site single line electrical drawings
  • Lead arc flash analysis and evaluate changes in electrical infrastructure to lower risk and enhance safety
  • Develop and manage multi-year capital project plans to improve electrical infrastructure
  • Conduct electrical coordination studies to ensure system and personnel safety
  • Collaborate with Maintenance and Project Engineering teams to ensure reliability and maintainability of installations
  • Participate in design and installation specification development
  • Review preventative maintenance procedures for electrical equipment
  • Devise engineering solutions to repetitive failures and other operational issues
  • Perform asset analyses to evaluate operating condition, reliability, and costs
  • Lead and maintain reliability improvement programs for critical electrical assets
  • Assist in root cause failure analysis and component failure analysis
  • Review project design packages for reliability and electrical safety
  • Develop and monitor preventative maintenance programs
  • Create and maintain electrical equipment specifications
  • Implement alterations and revisions to electrical equipment to improve business performance
  • Provide reports on project progress and performance
  • Adhere to safety procedures and practices to ensure personnel and equipment protection
  • Assist other departments and administrative personnel when needed
  • Initiate and follow through Management of Change (MOC) processes
  • Be available 24/7 on short notice to support plant operations
  • Work extended hours during plant outages and emergencies
  • Perform assigned tasks as required


  • Bachelor's or higher degree in Electrical Engineering required
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) preferred
  • Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) certification preferred
  • Minimum of ten years of experience, preferably in a continuous process industry
  • Knowledge and experience with relevant electrical codes and standards
  • Experience with electrical testing technologies
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Effective communication skills
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently
  • Willingness to spend time in the field
