Sr. Human Resources Business Partner
Senior HR Business Partner
Chicago, IL (Southwest Suburb Office)
Responsibilities:
· Supervise all policies, practices, and initiatives related to manufacturing and provide expert advice to other HR Business Partners.
· Establish trustworthy relationships that align with the company's culture, vision, and values.
· Assist the HR Leadership Team in aligning people-focused initiatives with the business strategy, facilitating change, and supporting business growth.
· Offer valuable thought leadership and HR/employee relations guidance to stakeholders, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and minimizing risks.
· Provide advice to line managers on coaching, counseling, career development, succession planning, talent management, performance evaluation, and disciplinary procedures.
· Develop and implement HR solutions to drive performance improvement and support organizational objectives.
· Collaborate with managers and leaders to assess and prepare for future talent requirements, managing internal transitions and promotions.
· Lead change management initiatives, equipping managers and leaders to effectively drive change.
· Partner with Corporate Centers of Excellence (COEs) in leadership development, compensation, benefits, and recruitment to support organizational initiatives.
· Manage and enhance support for the plant's apprenticeship program.
· Provide administrative backup for the HR performance management system.
·Participate in or lead specific projects as assigned, assisting the VP of Global Human Resources with reports, metrics, and various assignments.
Requirements/Qualifications:
·Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or equivalent work experience and PHR designation is a plus.
·At least 7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment resolving complex employee relations issues and progressive HR experience.
·Demonstrated experience as a liaison between various HR functions, prioritizing areas such as onboarding, offboarding, employee relations, performance management, compensation, talent assessments, succession planning, engagement/retention, and learning and development.
·Knowledge of multiple HR disciplines including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state employment laws.
·Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook, with strong spreadsheet and data management skills.
·Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented, and collaborative environment.
·Strong leadership qualities with exceptional written and verbal communication skills, as well as excellent interpersonal skills.
