ROLE OVERVIEW
As the Senior Manager of IT for Finance and Accounting, you will be responsible for overseeing the Finance and Accounting systems and services. This includes utilizing various applications (both SAAS and On Premise), ensuring governance and compliance, and providing strategic leadership for programs and projects related to the digital transformation of Finance and Accounting from Oracle EBS to Fusion Financials. You will also collaborate with business leadership to drive these transformations.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage staffing, people management, performance management, and scheduling and capacity planning for a team of four individuals.
- Lead the IT Finance and Accounting business applications team, overseeing strategy, implementation, maintenance, support, and continuous improvement.
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and management for direct reports to ensure the successful implementation, maintenance, and support of all related software.
- Take ownership of system configurations, integrations, workflows, reporting, and analytics within the Finance and Accounting domain.
- Participate in or provide strategic leadership for cross-functional programs and projects.
- Analyze, document, and communicate changes, design and develop solutions considering the overall impact on current business processes, integrations, and reports across various business users.
- Handle service level management, including SLAs, incident and enhancement ticket management, as well as the delivery of smaller projects.
- Collaborate with development, integration, and testing teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions and timely results.
- Evaluate quarterly patches, analyze new or changed functionality, develop test plans, conduct unit testing, and coordinate with business users for testing activities to ensure business continuity and continuous improvement.
- Participate in M&A activities and assess the overall impact on current business processes, integrations, and reports.
- Collaborate with cross-functional business groups to lead and execute integration plans.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive and directly related work experience.
- At least 4 years of experience in a leadership or management role, responsible for leading the IT Finance and Accounting business applications team.
- Expertise in the implementation and support of ERP applications, particularly Oracle EBS, including leading a digital transformation from Oracle EBS to the Cloud (Fusion Financials) and supporting finance and accounting functions.
- Experience in utilizing and managing SaaS applications in the Finance domain.
- Proven ability to act as a trusted advisor to the business, with a willingness to challenge requests. Prior consulting experience is a plus.
- Self-motivated, adaptable to change, and driven to achieve results.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain concepts clearly and concisely to management and cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business, or Information Technology from an accredited university.
- Must be located in the Birmingham area or willing to relocate within the United States.
