Oversee the daily operations of a single site handling multiple areas of business. Develop and implement strategies to improve performance, productivity, and cost management. Responsible for the financial aspect of the operations. Route Managers will be under your supervision and guidance.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the district and provide support to drivers in ensuring safety, service, and efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with company, OSHA, and other safety regulations through necessary precautions.
- Investigate and address the root causes of incidents and injuries, providing coaching and retraining as needed.
- Manage personnel needs, including hiring, training, evaluating performance, and making decisions regarding compensation and promotions.
- Collaborate with the Senior District Manager and/or Director of Operations to establish and execute short-term and long-term goals and action plans.
- Participate in financial reviews to ensure budget adherence and implement programs for optimal resource utilization and cost management.
- Engage with local government agencies to enhance customer satisfaction, efficiency, and contract negotiations, establishing a positive corporate presence.
Requirements
Associate's Degree, High School Diploma or GED, and at least 2 years of relevant work experience. Must have 2 years of supervisory and/or financial responsibility in addition to education requirements.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
- Must maintain a valid driver’s license and clean driving record throughout employment
Candidates must have experience in at least 2 of the following areas: operations, customer service, community relations, occupational health and safety, finance, or human resources. Extensive knowledge of OSHA regulations, budget management, and labor relations is required.
- Oversee the daily collection operations at a single site with multiple areas of business
- Establish and maintain performance, productivity, and cost management metrics
- Take responsibility for the financial performance of the operations, with direct reports in the form of Route Managers
- Experience in managing people and budgets, particularly with financial responsibility
- Budget sizes range from $100 million to $250 million, depending on the location
- Ideal candidates will come from industries such as Telecom, Rail, Mining, Quarry, or Oil & Gas, and will be involved in community outreach to promote our company and grow the site's business
