Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Payroll and Systems Analyst to ensure accurate payroll processing and compliance with legislative payroll requirements. This role will also focus on implementing and maintaining effective systems and controls to ensure timely and accurate payments to employees, government agencies, and third-party organizations. The Senior Payroll and Systems Analyst will collaborate with internal and external auditors to ensure payroll compliance.



  • Manage the end-to-end payroll process and establish efficient systems for collecting and processing payroll data using the Employee Central Payroll system.
  • Provide support to plants and employees regarding payroll-related issues and collaborate with payroll processors to resolve any challenges.
  • Ensure timely and accurate payments to employees, government agencies, and third-party organizations, while ensuring proper accounting and compliance.
  • Assist the payroll processing team with problem-solving and provide training for new process changes.
  • Monitor and maintain the functionality and compliance of hardware and software systems, adhering to corporate policies and legal requirements.
  • Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for SOX compliance related to payroll systems and processes, working closely with internal and external auditors.
  • Handle payroll processing tasks such as ACH file processing, check printing, and distribution.
  • Serve as the go-to person for EC Cloud payroll, providing training initiatives for the processing team.
  • Collaborate with the payroll manager on Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives, M&A integrations, and other payroll projects.
  • Responsible for filing quarterly 941’s, annual 940, W2, 1099, and other necessary payroll reports.
  • Act as the primary contact for external vendor programs, including pay cards, daily pay, employment verifications, online pay stubs, and employee benefit deductions.


Technical/Functional Skills

  • Proficient in Employee Central Cloud Payroll
  • Familiarity with SQL database
  • Strong PC skills, particularly in Excel
  • In-depth knowledge of payroll legislative requirements
  • Demonstrated continuous improvement mindset
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification
  • Thorough understanding of US payroll tax and banking regulations
  • Experience with ADP stand-alone payroll services



  • Minimum: High School Diploma with a minimum of 10 years of experience
  • Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Business with a minimum of 6 years of payroll experience
  • Previous experience with payroll tax, SOX, compliance, and garnishments
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification
