Our company, a global leader in water heating and water treatment technologies, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Engineer to join our team at the Heat Pump Engineering Center of Excellence in Lebanon, Tennessee.

  • Manage complex engineering projects from start to finish, ensuring timely completion within budget
  • Apply engineering standards and provide expert advice on engineering challenges
  • Prioritize and handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Contribute effectively as a team player and engage in group tasks and brainstorming activities
  • Communicate technical material to internal teams and cross-functional departments
  • Develop detailed test programs and provide guidance to lab and CAD personnel
  • Conduct and evaluate product-specific tests
  • Review product designs for compliance with engineering principles, standards, and customer expectations
  • Coordinate and resolve technical developments, rescheduling issues, and design problems
  • Request, evaluate, and approve product design changes through product change processes
  • Interact with other Engineering Staff to provide input based on expertise
  • Prepare project expense estimates and control expenditures within the project budget
  • Support field service engineering and incorporate improvements in future products
  • Maintain professional conduct in accordance with company values

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, plus 5 years of experience, or equivalent
  • Refrigerant Cycle experience dealing with HVAC air conditioning systems and/or heat pumps
  • Detailed understanding of HVAC system functions, including refrigeration, heat transfer, airflow, and ventilation
  • Experience with various components used in HVAC systems, such as evaporator coils, compressors, condensers, and fans
  • Design and hands-on testing experience with air conditioning and/or heat pump systems
  • Proficiency in design simulation and analysis tools, such as Solidworks, LabVIEW, EES, CFD, FEA, and ERP software
  • Strong analytical skills for reviewing costs and preparing budget reports
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to travel 10-15% for product testing, field installations review, and meetings with internal Engineering teams
