Our company, a global leader in water heating and water treatment technologies, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Engineer to join our team at the Heat Pump Engineering Center of Excellence in Lebanon, Tennessee.

Responsibilities:
- Manage complex engineering projects from start to finish, ensuring timely completion within budget
- Apply engineering standards and provide expert advice on engineering challenges
- Prioritize and handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Contribute effectively as a team player and engage in group tasks and brainstorming activities
- Communicate technical material to internal teams and cross-functional departments
- Develop detailed test programs and provide guidance to lab and CAD personnel
- Conduct and evaluate product-specific tests
- Review product designs for compliance with engineering principles, standards, and customer expectations
- Coordinate and resolve technical developments, rescheduling issues, and design problems
- Request, evaluate, and approve product design changes through product change processes
- Interact with other Engineering Staff to provide input based on expertise
- Prepare project expense estimates and control expenditures within the project budget
- Support field service engineering and incorporate improvements in future products
- Maintain professional conduct in accordance with company values
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, plus 5 years of experience, or equivalent
- Refrigerant Cycle experience dealing with HVAC air conditioning systems and/or heat pumps
- Detailed understanding of HVAC system functions, including refrigeration, heat transfer, airflow, and ventilation
- Experience with various components used in HVAC systems, such as evaporator coils, compressors, condensers, and fans
- Design and hands-on testing experience with air conditioning and/or heat pump systems
- Proficiency in design simulation and analysis tools, such as Solidworks, LabVIEW, EES, CFD, FEA, and ERP software
- Strong analytical skills for reviewing costs and preparing budget reports
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to travel 10-15% for product testing, field installations review, and meetings with internal Engineering teams
