Primary Role
The Senior Refrigeration Engineer plays a crucial role in managing and overseeing project assignments, using a project management system as a guide to achieve project objectives. Working with a team, the incumbent will be responsible for planning, organizing, implementing, and completing project assignments.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute moderate-level, full project development, focusing on mechanical and manufacturing aspects of project design.
- Maintain an up-to-date written description of the project, ensuring accuracy and relevance.
- Collaborate in the development of business and facility strategies to drive product line sustainability and growth.
- Participate in Project Identification meetings with marketing and management to define project specifications and scope.
- Create and implement an engineering program using the Project Management System to achieve project objectives.
- Engage with department contacts to gather input and communicate project activity, progress, and scheduling through project reviews and reports.
- Evaluate product designs for adherence to engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications.
- Coordinate activities to resolve technical developments, scheduling issues, and design test problems.
- Assess and recommend design changes and specifications.
- Collaborate with other Engineering Staff to provide input on areas of expertise.
- Prepare project expense estimates and manage expenditures within budget limitations.
- Provide guidance and support to other Engineers and Technicians with less experience.
- Perform other necessary tasks as directed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
- At least 3 years of relevant work experience or training.
- Solid mathematical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret scientific and technical reports.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written, to effectively engage with all levels, including senior management.
- Proficiency in computer skills, including MS Office.
- Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret data.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
