Sr. Project Manager

Location: KEOKUK, IA
In order to overcome our obstacles, we are searching for a Senior Project Coordinator to join our team in Keokuk, IA. As a vital member of our US Engineering Team, you will assist and advise our internal clients (GBU Manufacturing plants) in defining their needs and translating them into practical solutions for the food and pharmaceutical process industry. This role will involve overseeing several industrial projects with budgets ranging from $5 to $50 million, from the initial stages of planning to final installation and performance.
Responsibilities
•Collaborate with clients to establish engineering requirements,
•Develop the project organization in collaboration with relevant hierarchies,
•Identify the necessary resources (time, funds, equipment, etc.) to successfully complete the project,
•Create various technical proposals based on production processes and user requirements, and present them for consideration,
•Prepare estimated budgets and seek approval,
•Lead communication with vendors and contractors to obtain equipment and services quotes, process SAP Purchase Requisitions, and collaborate with Purchasing to negotiate agreements,
•Ensure overall control of the project in terms of quality, costs, and timelines,
•Develop project implementation plans, establish time schedules, oversee implementation work, and prioritize safety, quality, and progress,
Manage team resources, set project schedules, and personally or through delegation, supervise field construction activities and contracts,
•Provide technical leadership to ad hoc project teams consisting of drafting contractors, technicians, engineers, and others, in order to contribute to successful project completion,
Effectively communicate and collaborate with other engineers, department members, and interdepartmental project teams, offering suggestions for improvement and resolving complex issues,
•Review project schedules, cash flow projections, and report on actual cash flow, variances, risks, and action plans to senior management and other staff affected by the project; adjust the schedule as needed
Utilize root cause analysis to identify the underlying causes of complex failures and implement appropriate actions for control, correction, and prevention
Organize the design, sourcing, and supplies, as well as manage the various tasks throughout the project's timeline, making necessary adjustments and reporting any deviations,
Plan and coordinate the different stages of industrial projects from conception to completion, identifying the resources necessary for successful realization
This position requires approximately 50% of the time to be spent in an office environment and the other 50% in a plant environment
Occasional travel outside the area will be necessary when working on projects at other US manufacturing plants
