Salary Range:
$85,000 – $100,000

Job Description – Bridge Engineer
We are seeking a skilled Bridge Engineer to join our team on multi-disciplinary projects focused on bridge design, rehabilitation, and load rating. This role offers opportunities to mentor junior engineers, lead technical efforts, and engage with clients across the Mid-Atlantic, especially in Delaware and surrounding states.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead bridge design and rehabilitation projects, ensuring quality and technical excellence.

Oversee multiple concurrent tasks, including design and bridge inspections.

Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineering staff.

Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to resolve technical challenges.

Prepare project proposals, scopes of work, and man-hour estimates.

Travel as needed to support project requirements.

Produce reports, technical specifications, and engineering documentation.
Required Qualifications:
-
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Structural focus).

4–7 years of experience in bridge design.
-
Proficiency in AutoCAD, MicroStation, InRoads, and GeoPak.

Strong knowledge of AASHTO and DOT design standards (DelDOT, MDSHA, VDOT, DCDOT, PennDOT).

Experienced with structural analysis/design software (SAP, STAAD, LEAP Bridge/Concrete, AASHTOWare BrR, BRASS).

Ability to lead technical tasks and mentor junior engineers.

High-quality technical writing skills for reports and specifications.

Ability to manage multiple assignments in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Civil Engineering (Structural focus).

Professional Engineer (PE) license.
-
Completion of FHWA-NHI-13005 and/or FHWA-NHI-130078.
-
Experience in load rating and proposal development.

Familiarity with BrIM/BIM modeling tools and processes.
-
Active involvement in professional engineering organizations.
