Staff Engineer

Experienced Engineer

Our valued client is in need of an experienced Engineer to provide support in the design, development, and improvement of products, processes, and tooling.

The responsibilities of the experienced Engineer include, but are not limited to, the following tasks:

Enhancing Processes

· Enhancing and maintaining manufacturing processes while prioritizing Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC).

· Devising and managing project plans for process development activities, including tasks, resources, and schedules.

· Justifying Return on Investment (ROI) for process and equipment improvements.

· Identifying and acquiring new manufacturing equipment for production readiness, as well as preparing equipment for production.

· Developing and optimizing process parameters for efficiency.

· Creating and revising process documentation and work instructions.

· Assisting in the design of custom tooling for specific purposes.

Factory Assistance

· Monitoring process yields, cost, and stability to ensure efficient operations.

· Identifying and implementing quality improvements based on relevant metrics.

· Creating, validating, and maintaining automatic equipment programs.

· Timely resolution of manufacturing problems related to materials, designs, equipment, and personnel.

· Assisting with the training of new staff and participating in the development of operator training materials.

· Providing support to factory maintenance personnel in troubleshooting and repairing process equipment.

Design Assistance

· Codifying products for easy identification and reference.

· Having a comprehensive understanding of multi-level Bill of Materials (BoM) structures.


· An Associate and/or Bachelor's degree, or higher, in Engineering, a related STEM field, or an Engineering program.

· Familiarity with CAD Inventor software is preferred.

· Proficiency in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).

· Experience with ERP systems, including creating product codes and routings.

· Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Statistical Process Control (SPC), and Six Sigma concepts for process development.

· Proficiency in MS Office software applications.

· Willingness to work a second shift if necessary.
