Job Responsibilities:

• Achieve personal selling and client engagement goals
• Oversee all activities necessary to achieve store objectives, including financial targets, customer service, human resources management, operational controls, payroll, and operating expenses. Foster engagement among both employees and customers
• Coordinate the arrangement of merchandise on counters or tables to enhance sales through effective advertising displays
• Maintain a professional and inclusive environment in the gallery, and ensure compliance with Human Resource standards as outlined in company policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines
• Supervise part-time sales employees, including conducting performance discussions, setting objectives, and holding associates accountable for their goals
• Manage Owner's Classes, clubs, demos, Creative Classes, and freelance educator events to meet financial targets
• Deliver exceptional customer service and employ innovative strategies to attract and retain customers. Serve as a role model and prioritize client satisfaction
• Recruit, select, develop, and retain a strong retail team, and hold individuals responsible for their performance

Qualifications:

• Demonstrate creativity and a passion for sharing sewing expertise with customers
• High School diploma or equivalent. A business or fashion design/merchandising degree would be a plus
• At least one year of retail experience with a proven track record in closing sales. Ability to forecast and analyze business trends, and effectively manage payroll expense to maximize store performance
• Detailed knowledge of our machines and products
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and constantly evolving retail environment
• Excellent communication skills through various forms of technology, including telephone and computer. Ability to receive and convey information effectively
• Occasionally move within the office to access file cabinets, meeting rooms, copier/printer, etc. Ability to remain in a stationary position for 50% of the time
• Capable of retrieving or repositioning products, such as sewing machines weighing up to 50 pounds
• Flexibility to work a schedule that meets the demands of the business, including evening, holiday, and weekend shifts
