Store Manager
Location: Schererville, IN
Responsibilities
* Meet personal sales and customer engagement objectives
* Oversee all activities necessary to achieve store goals, including financial targets, customer
service, personnel management, operational controls, payroll, and operating expenses, all while
encouraging both employees and customers to be engaged
* Coordinate the arrangement of merchandise on counters or tables to improve sales
* Manage the gallery and its team members in a professional and inclusive manner, adhering to
Company policies, practices, guidelines, and standards
* Supervise part-time sales employees, conducting effective performance discussions, setting clear
objectives, and holding Associates accountable to achieve goals
* Organize and execute various events, such as Owner's Classes, clubs, demos, Creative Classes,
and freelance educator events, with the aim of achieving financial targets
* Deliver exceptional customer service and implement innovative strategies to attract and retain
customers, always prioritizing client satisfaction
* Recruit, select, train, and retain a competent store team, ensuring individual performance
responsibilities are met
Qualifications
* Possess creativity and passion, and be willing to share sewing expertise with customers
* High school diploma or equivalent, with a preference for a degree in Business or Fashion Design/
Merchandising
* Minimum of one year of retail experience with a proven track record of successful sales closures,
including the ability to analyze business trends and manage payroll to maximize store performance
* Extensive knowledge of our machines and products
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic retail environment
* Proficient communication skills through various technological channels including telephone and
computer
* Occasionally move around the office to access file cabinets, meeting rooms, and copier/printer,
while spending approximately 50% of the time stationary
* Capable of handling products like sewing machines weighing up to 50 pounds
* Flexibility to work a schedule that meets the needs of the business, including evenings, holidays,
and weekends
