Store Manager

Location: Newark, DE
Responsibilities
* Successfully achieve personal sales targets and engage with clients
* Oversee all necessary tasks to meet store objectives, such as financial goals, customer service, human resource management, operational controls, payroll, and operating expenses. Actively promote engagement among team members and clients
* Coordinate the arrangement of merchandise on countertops or tables and set-up appealing advertising displays to drive sales
* Lead and support the gallery team in a professional and inclusive manner, adhering to Human Resource standards outlined in company policies
* Supervise part-time sales staff, conducting effective performance discussions, setting clear objectives, and holding associates accountable for their goals
* Organize and execute various events, such as Owner's Classes, clubs, demos, Creative Classes, and freelance educator functions to achieve financial targets
* Provide exceptional customer service and implement innovative strategies to attract and retain customers. Serve as a role model, ensuring that the client is always the top priority
* Recruit, select, develop, and retain a high-performing store team, taking responsibility for individual performance
Qualifications
* Demonstrate creativity and passion and be willing to share your sewing expertise with customers
* Hold a high school diploma or equivalent. Having a degree in Business or Fashion Design/Merchandising is a bonus!
* Possess at least one year of retail experience with a successful track record in closing sales. Ability to forecast and analyze business trends and effectively manage payroll expenses to optimize store performance
* Possess extensive knowledge of our machines and products
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and constantly evolving retail environment
* Excellent communication skills through various forms of technology, including telephone and computer. Ability to receive and convey information
* Occasional movement within the office, accessing file cabinets, meeting rooms, copier/printer, etc., while also being able to remain stationary for 50% of the time
* Capable of retrieving or repositioning products, such as sewing machines, weighing up to 50 pounds
* Flexibility to work a varied schedule based on business needs, including evenings, holidays, and weekends
