Responsibilities

  • Achieve personal selling and client engagement goals
  • Oversee all activities necessary to meet store objectives, such as financial targets, customer service, human resources management, operational controls, payroll, and operating expenses. Foster engagement among associates and customers.
  • Coordinate the arrangement of merchandise on counters or tables for effective sales promotion.
  • Lead and manage the gallery and its team members, ensuring a professional and inclusive environment. Adherence to the Company's Human Resource standards is expected by following the general practices outlined in policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines.
  • Directly supervise part-time sales employees, conducting effective performance discussions and setting clear objectives. Hold associates accountable for achieving goals.
  • Coordinate and execute various events, including Owner's Classes, clubs, demos, Creative Classes, and freelance educator events, to achieve financial targets.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and employ innovative methods to attract and retain customers. Act as a role model, prioritizing the client's needs above all.
  • Recruit, select, develop, and retain a strong team for the entire store. Hold individuals accountable for their performance.

Qualifications

  • Display creativity and passion, willing to share sewing expertise with customers.
  • Hold a high school diploma or equivalent. A degree in Business or Fashion Design/Merchandising would be advantageous.
  • Possess at least one year of retail experience with a proven track record of effective sales closing. Ability to analyze business trends, forecast, and manage payroll expenses for maximizing store performance.
  • Have in-depth knowledge of our machines and products.
  • Be adaptable to work in a fast-paced and constantly changing retail environment.
  • Demonstrate effective communication skills using various forms of technology, including telephone and computer. Ability to receive and convey information clearly.
  • Occasionally move around within the office to access file cabinets, meeting rooms, copiers/printers, etc. Additionally, the ability to remain stationary for 50% of the time is required.
  • Capable of retrieving or repositioning products such as sewing machines weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Flexibility to work a schedule that meets business requirements, which may include evening, holiday, and weekend shifts.
