Job Description: Retail Supervisor

Location: Centerville, UT

Responsibilities:

• Achieve personal selling and client engagement goals
• Supervise and oversee all activities necessary to meet store goals, including financial targets, client service, human resources management, operational controls, payroll, and operating expenses while driving both employee and client engagement
• Organize and manage advertising displays and merchandise arrangements to enhance sales
• Lead and manage the gallery and its team members in a professional and inclusive manner, adhering to HR standards and company policies
• Directly supervise and provide guidance to part-time sales employees, conducting performance discussions, setting clear objectives, and holding associates accountable
• Coordinate and execute various events, such as owner's classes, clubs, demos, creative classes, and freelance educator events, to achieve financial goals
• Deliver exceptional customer service and consistently innovate to attract and retain customers, setting an example as a role model
• Recruit, select, develop, and retain a competent and efficient full store team, ensuring individual accountability for performance

Qualifications:

• Creativity and passion, with a willingness to share sewing expertise with customers
• High School diploma or equivalent; a degree in Business or Fashion Design/Merchandising is a plus
• One or more years of retail experience with a proven track record in closing sales, the ability to forecast and analyze business trends, and manage payroll expense for optimal store performance
• Detailed knowledge of our machines and products
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and ever-changing retail environment
• Excellent communication skills through various forms of technology, including phone and computer
• Ability to move within the office and access file cabinets, meeting rooms, copier/printer, etc., as well as hold a stationary position for 50% of the time
• Capacity to retrieve or reposition products, such as sewing machines weighing up to 50 pounds
• Flexibility to work a schedule that meets the business needs, including evening, holiday, and weekend shifts
