Responsibilities

• Achieve personal sales and client engagement goals
• Oversee all activities necessary to accomplish store targets, including financial objectives, client service, human resources management, operational controls, payroll, and operating expenses, while fostering employee and client engagement
• Supervise the setup of advertising displays or the arrangement of merchandise to boost sales
• Manage the gallery and its team members professionally and inclusively, adhering to Human Resource standards and following company policies and guidelines
• Directly supervise part-time sales employees, conduct performance discussions, set clear objectives, and ensure associates are accountable to their goals
• Coordinate and execute various events such as Owner's Classes, clubs, demos, Creative Classes, and freelance educator events to achieve financial targets
• Deliver excellent customer service, prioritize clients, and innovate to acquire and retain customers
• Recruit, select, develop, and retain a complete store team, while holding individuals responsible for their performance

Qualifications

• Demonstrate creativity, passion, and willingness to share sewing expertise with customers
• Hold a high school diploma or equivalent; a degree in Business or Fashion Design/Merchandising is a plus
• Have at least one year of retail experience with a proven track record of closing sales, forecasting and analyzing business trends, and effectively managing payroll expenses to maximize store performance
• Possess direct knowledge of our machines and products
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and constantly changing retail environment
• Effective communication skills through various forms of technology such as telephone and computer
• Physically able to move around the office, access file cabinets and meeting rooms, etc., while also being able to remain stationary for 50% of the time
• Capable of retrieving or repositioning products like sewing machines weighing up to 50 pounds
• Flexible schedule availability to meet business needs, including evening, holiday, and weekend shifts
