An established and growing civil engineering consulting firm is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Structural Engineer / Project Manager to support its Transportation & Municipal projects based out of the Columbus, Ohio office.

About the Role:

This is a dynamic opportunity for an experienced engineering professional ready to take their career to the next level. The role blends technical leadership, project management, client engagement, and team mentorship, all within a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver technical excellence from research and analysis through final design.

  • Manage projects with a strong focus on scope, schedule, budget, and quality.

  • Provide leadership to the Structures/Bridge team, including mentoring junior staff.

  • Develop and maintain cost estimates and project budgets.

  • Participate in business development activities and client relationship building.

  • Maintain strong client satisfaction through consistent communication and service.

  • Ensure designs meet internal quality standards and regulatory requirements.

  • Take on a variety of tasks and responsibilities that showcase broad engineering expertise.

 

Qualifications:

  • 4–10 years of experience leading structural engineering projects.

  • Strong professional network and ability to build industry relationships.

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with interest in expanding local market presence.

  • Proficient in CAD tools, particularly MicroStation.

  • PE license and BS in Civil Engineering required.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
