Superintendent – MEP Commercial Construction
MEP Construction Manager - Commercial
Required Skills and Experience:
This position requires a capable individual to supervise, manage, and coordinate the work of subcontractors and trade partners in the Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) field. The MEP Construction Manager holds responsibility for ensuring safety, adhering to schedules, maintaining work quality, managing budgets, and overseeing on-site construction activities.
Qualifications:
o Proficient knowledge in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems
o Strong ability to prioritize and organize effectively with great attention to detail
o Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
o Familiarity with MEP codes as applicable to projects
o Well-versed in various construction disciplines
o Previous experience working with MEP subcontractors and contracts
o Minimum of 3 years of prior MEP coordination experience
o Previous experience in project management, quality control, or as an MEP Construction Manager on medium to large-scale projects ($20M+) is compulsory
o Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or Engineering
Main Job Duties:
o Lead the coordination process and 3D modeling for MEP systems
o Collaborate in developing detailed schedules for MEP activities
o Supervise the performance of MEP trade partners on the project
o Oversee the QA/QC process for the installation, commissioning, and start-up of MEP systems
o Review MEP materials and equipment prior to installation
o Manage the procurement process for MEP activities
o Assist the superintendent in developing the overall project plan pertaining to MEP activities
o Coordinate work with subcontractors to ensure adherence to project scope and specifications
