Supplier Quality Engineer

Our client, a renowned global manufacturer of large metal automotive components, is currently seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Engineer to join their team in Cartersville, GA.


We are looking for someone who will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the Quality System, improving production processes, and ensuring overall product quality both within the company and at supplier sites.

Essential Functions

1. Develop and implement quality planning procedures, including APQP and initial sampling.
2. Coordinate with suppliers for activities such as PPAP approval, conducting audits, issuing reclamations, and facilitating charge backs.
3. Review laboratory and measurement reports, and take necessary actions to address any identified issues.
4. Prepare for and oversee customer audits.
5. Implement and monitor countermeasures to address quality concerns.
6. Interpret and understand engineering drawings, standards, and specifications.
7. Create inspection documents required for auditors.
8. Facilitate customer and supplier visits.
9. Participate in and manage quality and customer projects.
10. Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with quality standards.
11. Implement and monitor engineering changes.
12. Conduct tool, process, and gauge buy offs.
13. Prepare and submit PPAP documentation to customers.
14. Contribute to the development of process documentation, such as FMEA, Control Plans, and Process Flows.


1. Strong written and spoken English language skills.
2. Proficiency in written and spoken German (preferred but not required).
3. Proficiency in written and spoken Spanish (preferred but not required).

Job Description


Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

Minimum of 50 hours per week.


Occasional domestic and international travel required.

Required Education and Experience

1. Minimum of 2 years experience in the Automotive Industry.
2. Minimum of 2 years experience in a Quality-related field.
3. Experience with GD&T.
4. Auditing experience.
5. Proficient in MS Office.
6. CATIA/CAD or similar experience required.
