What they are seeking:
•A Nursing degree at the Associate's or Bachelor's level is required.
•Preference for 5 years of previous experience in Surgical Services, as well as a couple years of management experience in an acute care setting.
•At the time of hire, a current RN License in Iowa is necessary, along with current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
Hours and compensation:
•This is a full-time position.
•The range of compensation is between $95K and $135K.
•A comprehensive benefits package is provided, including a relocation or sign-on bonus.
What you’ll be responsible for:
•Assume 24-hour accountability and responsibility for overall operational management of Surgical Services as the Director.
•Oversee staff selection and the implementation of service structures, while upholding the patient-centered culture of the hospital.
•Manage multiple aspects within the patient care environment, ensuring clinical standards of care are maintained, and ensuring adequate staffing for quality patient care.
•Participate in or lead various committees, work groups, and meetings as necessary.
•Provide organizational leadership in the development, implementation, and maintenance of services, aligned with the hospital's Mission, Vision, Values, and Strategic Plan.
•Prepare annual budgets for surgical services, encompassing revenue, personnel, operations, and capital expenses, supported by valid rationale, justification, and recommendations.

•The facility has over 200 beds, and the position reports to the Chief Nursing Officer.
