Role Summary

As a Systems Engineer, you will utilize your expertise in electrical controls, IT, and security systems to design and implement fully integrated control systems that are customized to meet the security and access control requirements of our clients. From initial planning to final installation, you will play a vital role in the functional design and implementation of these systems while continuously seeking opportunities to improve processes.


- Develop, design, and program integrated access control, surveillance, and HMI/PLC control systems.

- Create HMI using Wonderware software.

- Design system and network architecture.

- Prepare hardware and panel schematics.

- Analyze and devise solutions for integrating disparate systems.

- Generate customer and in-house specifications and related documentation.

- Provide technical support to customers and internal team members.

Preferred Skills:

- Proficiency in HMI or SCADA software, particularly Wonderware Intouch and Archestra.

- Experience in programming PLCs, preferably Omron, Modicon Momentum, and/or Allen Bradley 5000.

- Knowledge of electrical control systems design, with Autocad experience considered a plus.

- Strong computer skills.

- Understanding of networking principles and communications.

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.

- Familiarity with video, intercom, and access control systems is advantageous.

- Proficiency in VB.NET or C# programming is a plus.

Do You Have the Required Qualifications or Experience?

- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent work experience.

- Proficiency in 2D AutoDesk or similar CAD applications.

- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on PLC and/or HMI programming experience.

- Ability to pass government background checks as required by clients.

- Willingness to travel approximately 15% to 20% of the time, including occasional overnight stays.
