System Engineering Developer

We are an innovative aerospace company based in Oklahoma City, OK. Our mission is to develop solar-powered aircraft solutions that can achieve perpetual flight with exceptional payload capacity. Leveraging technology from the longest continuous renewably powered flight program, we are creating a new class of unmanned aircraft that combines the persistence of geosynchronous satellites with the sensing capabilities and flexibility of a large, airborne platform.


Join our Systems Engineering Team and take on the following key responsibilities for our primary UAS programs:

· Develop a comprehensive Systems Engineering Management Plan to ensure a consistent SE methodology across the program.

· Validate requirements and establish a standard for requirements across the company.

· Analyze and manage requirements at all levels.

· Validate requirements at the system, capability, and equipment level.

· Support the development and management of MBSE at all levels.

· Identify governing standards and industry guidelines for system development.

· Generate reports and metrics for program transition reviews.

· Create the Verification Plan for the program.

· Coordinate with Engineering to develop Verification Procedures and Reports.

· Validate Verification Procedures and set up appropriate lab environments.

· Support system integration and testing.

· Verify requirements at system, capability, and item levels.

· Develop the Verification Cross Reference Matrix.

· Track and resolve problem reports during verification campaigns.

· Assist with the delivery of system level documentation for permit to fly.

Required Experience:

· Demonstrated expertise (more than 5 years) in modeling and documenting systems engineering work products throughout the entire lifecycle, including:

o Concept of Operations

o Requirements elicitation and analysis

o Use Cases

o Behavior Diagrams

o Trade Studies

o System Architecture

o Interface Control Documents

o Risk Analysis

o Verification Plans

o Verifications

· Extensive experience (more than 5 years) with Systems Engineering methodologies (ARP4754, IEEE 15288, etc.).

Preferred Tools / Processes:

· Experience with projects seeking or receiving certification at the system or product level in the Aerospace or Automotive industries (CS-23, CS-25, TSO, DO-178C, DO-254)

· Familiarity with Systems Engineering SW tools such as MBSE and Requirements databases.

· Experience as a System Requirements developer in the Aerospace sector.

· Proficiency in Python.

· Experience with Confluence.

· Knowledge of Jira.

· Familiarity with 3DExperience PLM or other PLM tools.

· Experience with SCADE Architect or other SysML tools.

· Familiarity with Polarion ALM.

Preferred Experience:

· Strong understanding of multiple engineering disciplines, with a focus on Software Engineering.

· Experience managing requirements databases, including bi-directional tracing, requirement allocation, and regular metrics reporting.

· Desirable certifications such as ASEP, CSEP, or extensive knowledge of SE Handbook.
