Salary Range: $84,000 – $120,000 + Bonus Eligible

A leading professional services firm is seeking a highly motivated Tax Analyst to join its finance team. This role is perfect for someone with a strong background in tax compliance and analysis who enjoys working across multiple tax types and jurisdictions. You’ll play a key role in preparing filings, supporting partner compensation reporting, and researching evolving state and local tax issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Calculate and record monthly partner compensation; manage related general ledger entries and reporting.

  • Prepare and file various state and local taxes (e.g., excise, business occupancy, commercial rent, GET, sales/use, and environmental taxes).

  • Ensure compliance with personal property tax filings and track tax obligations related to remote employees.

  • Research state tax requirements, monitor nexus, and recommend compliance strategies in collaboration with external tax advisors.

  • Analyze work location data for employees in specific jurisdictions to support tax reporting.

  • Evaluate meals and entertainment expenses in accordance with IRS deductibility rules.

  • Assist with the preparation of federal and state K-1s and provide tax estimates for the firm and partners.

  • Maintain partner capital accounts and develop annual capital statements.

  • Support budgeting for tax accounts and create variance analysis reports.

  • Coordinate responses to property tax audits and other inquiries from tax authorities.

  • Provide support to the investment team as needed and assist with additional finance projects.


What You Bring:

  • 3–5 years of experience in tax accounting, filing, and SALT research/analysis

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

  • Strong Excel skills and familiarity with financial systems and reporting tools

  • Excellent communication, organization, and analytical skills

  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a deadline-driven environment

  • A collaborative, client-focused mindset
