Tax Analyst

We are currently seeking a Tax Specialist for a single-family High Wealth Family office located in Carnegie, PA. Our client provides integrated financial and investment services for 18 households spanning multiple generations of the family. Additionally, they offer consulting, tax, and accounting services to various external clients.
In this role, the primary focus will be on tax compliance and planning, with a strong emphasis on the technology systems utilized by the family office. The successful candidate will be responsible for familiarizing themselves with our existing technology systems and continuously enhancing them across our tax, accounting, and financial/investment reporting services. While reporting directly to the family office's treasurer, this position will collaborate closely with all members of the staff.

• Minimum of 3 years of public accounting experience, focusing on tax compliance and planning
• Proficiency in processing and automating data
• Excellent communication skills

• Critical thinking and analytical problem-solving abilities

• Prepare and/or review complex tax returns for individuals, trusts, and other entities
• Manage and update tax basis schedules
• Analyze and address IRS and state tax notices
• Calculate annual tax distributions for family limited partnerships
• Cross-train with investment data analyst to enhance investment reporting processes
• Assist in the preparation and automation of schedules for our Board of Directors and client meetings
• Provide high-level service to family members and clients through direct interaction
• Aid in the onboarding process for new tax and accounting clients

• Expand knowledge and skills in tax technology and software, with a specific focus on automation
• Keep up-to-date with the latest technology and software used in the family office industry
• Utilize Microsoft Copilot and stay informed on best practices in generative AI
