TAX ASSOCIATE LAWYER - BUSINESS TRANSACTIONS PRACTICE

Our esteemed client, a highly-regarded AmLaw 200 firm, is currently seeking a skilled and motivated Tax Associate Lawyer to join their esteemed Business Transactions Practice Group located in the vibrant city of Tampa. This presents a remarkable opportunity to engage in complex tax matters within a dynamic and collaborative atmosphere.

Applicant Profile:

• Hold a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from a prestigious law school with an outstanding academic track record.
• Completion of an LL.M. in Taxation is mandatory.
• Active membership in the Florida Bar.
  • Individuals who are highly qualified from prominent legal markets and are looking to relocate to Tampa will also be taken into account.
• Have 2–4 years of substantial experience practicing tax law.
• Possess exposure to complex business transactions, securities offerings, corporate finance, and joint ventures, which would be a beneficial asset.
• Preference will be given to those with experience in a prominent law firm.
• Demonstrate exceptional legal writing, analytical, and communication abilities.
• Be capable of working both independently and as an integral part of a high-performing team in a client-focused environment.

Key Duties:

• Provide clients with expert advice on federal and state tax implications of various business transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, restructurings, and joint ventures.
• Assist in devising tax planning, compliance, and structuring strategies for corporations, partnerships, and private equity clients.
• Draft and review transactional tax-related documents, such as partnership agreements and operating agreements.
• Conduct extensive legal research on tax regulations and offer strategic recommendations to clients.
• Work closely alongside corporate attorneys on matters relating to securities, finance, and business transactions.
