About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Tax Manager to lead our tax team in Houston. In this role, you’ll oversee tax compliance, provide strategic tax planning, and mentor a talented team while working with a dynamic portfolio of clients, including individuals, corporations, partnerships, and S-corporations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Tax Compliance: Review and manage federal, state, and local tax filings to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Tax Planning: Advise clients on strategies to optimize tax positions and navigate complex tax matters like mergers, credits, and restructuring.
• Client Relations: Serve as the main point of contact for clients, building trust and providing tailored tax solutions.
• Team Leadership: Mentor and supervise junior staff, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented team culture.
• Research & Strategy: Stay updated on tax laws, conduct research on complex issues, and offer actionable insights to clients.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance (Master’s in Taxation or MBA preferred).
• Experience: At least 5 years of tax experience, ideally in public accounting.
• Certification: CPA license required.
• Skills: Strong knowledge of tax laws, excellent client management, and leadership abilities.
