Our client is a public accounting and consulting firm located in Beachwood, OH. As a Tax Manager, your role will involve collaborating with clients, partners, and staff to provide comprehensive tax advisory and compliance services. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Technical
  • Reviewing various tax returns and related workpapers, including corporate, partnership, and individual returns
  • Preparing complex corporate and partnership tax returns
  • Serving as a technical resource for tax staff and interns
  • Conducting tax research, ranging from basic to complex
  • Collaborating with firm colleagues, clients, and other service providers to develop comprehensive tax plans for individual, corporate, partnership, and trust clients
  • Reviewing federal, state, and local tax notices and drafting responses
    
    
• Supervisory
  • Delegating work assignments to tax staff and interns
  • Supervising tax staff and interns, setting expectations and performance indicators
  • Participating in firm-wide and tax department administrative projects
  • Serving as the main point of contact for select client engagements
  • Building and maintaining collaborative relationships with all firm staff members
  • Assisting in the training of tax department or firm accounting personnel
  • Developing a network of industry peers and business contacts, conducting meetings with potential clients, and generating referral business

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum 5 years of public accounting experience with a focus on taxation
• Bachelor's or master's degree in accounting or taxation from an accredited college or university
• CPA license
