Our client is seeking a Sales Specialist with expertise in Mechanical Surface Characterization for their expanding business in the Midwestern states. As a Technical Sales Representative, you will be responsible for promoting and selling their innovative portfolio of Nano-Indentation, Scratch testing, and Tribology instruments. While the ideal location is near Chicago, other areas with access to major airports will also be considered. With a base salary range of $92,000 to $105,000 per year, this compensation will be based on your experience. Additionally, their commission structure is uncapped and starts from the first dollar, while accelerating after achieving sales goals. The company offers a comprehensive benefits package, profit sharing bonuses, a monthly car allowance with mileage reimbursement, and a generous $10,000 anniversary bonus every five years. To top it all off, there is also a sign-on bonus opportunity available.

In this role, your responsibilities will include:

• Generating and cultivating new accounts, as well as effectively managing existing accounts.
• Delivering persuasive presentations to diverse audiences, such as C-suite executives, production managers, and technicians.
• Evaluating opportunities, developing proposals, and successfully closing sales.

To succeed in this position, the following skills and qualifications are required:

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in sales of capital equipment, preferably in the analytical instruments industry.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with strong presentation abilities.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently with a strong commitment to ensuring customer satisfaction.
• A bachelor's or master's degree in a natural science or engineering field.
• Flexibility for frequent overnight travel, up to 75% of the time.
• A valid driver's license and passport.
