Technical Sales Rep – Analytical Chemistry (1701)
Our client is in need of an Analytical Chemistry Sales Representative to drive the growth of their product lines in microwave-assisted synthesis, digestion, FTIR, and Raman spectroscopy in the New England and New York territory. The ideal location for this position is in or near Boston, although other major cities within the territory may be considered.
The salary for this role ranges from $86,000 to $97,000/year, with an uncapped commission plan that pays monthly from the first dollar and includes bonuses for exceeding targets. In addition to full benefits, there is a profit sharing contribution to your 401k and a $10,000 anniversary bonus every five years. There is also a sign-on bonus opportunity available.
Key responsibilities:
- Generating and cultivating new accounts, as well as effectively managing existing accounts.
- Delivering presentations to various audiences, including C-suite executives, production and lab managers, and technicians.
- Evaluating opportunities, creating and presenting proposals, and closing business deals.
- Traveling (up to 50-60%, including overnight stays) for meetings, demonstrations, and installations.
Skills and qualifications required:
- Prior experience in technical sales, with a strong preference for those with experience in analytical instruments sales.
- Exceptional communication skills and business acumen.
- Ability to work independently with a strong commitment to customer satisfaction.
- Bachelor's degree in natural sciences or engineering (preferred).
- Valid driver's license and passport.
