Technical Sales Rep – Analytical Instruments (Austin, TX) 1560
Our client is seeking a Technical Sales Representative specializing in Analytical Instruments. In this role, you will be responsible for promoting and selling our client's Density and Viscosity, Refractometry measurement instruments. The territory for this position encompasses Western and Central Texas, with preference for candidates located in or near Austin, although other major cities within the territory will also be considered.
This position offers a base salary range of $70,000 to $79,400 per year, based on the candidate's experience in capital equipment sales, with a preference for specific industry experience. In addition to the base salary, there is an uncapped commission plan that starts from the first dollar and includes bonuses for achieving and surpassing sales targets. Our client also provides a monthly car allowance and mileage reimbursement, comprehensive benefits package, profit sharing bonuses, and a $10,000 anniversary bonus every five years.
- Identify and cultivate new accounts while effectively managing existing accounts.
- Deliver compelling presentations to audiences of varying sizes, including C-suite executives, production managers, and technicians.
- Evaluate opportunities, develop persuasive proposals, and successfully close business deals.
Skills and qualifications:
- Prior experience in sales of capital equipment or analytical instruments is highly preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong presentation abilities.
- Ability to work independently with a strong dedication to customer satisfaction.
- Preferably possess a Bachelor's degree in natural sciences or engineering.
- Availability for frequent overnight travel, potentially up to 75% of the time.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and passport.
