Technical Sales Rep – Analytical Instruments (Houston) 1665

We have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Sales Rep in the Houston area. In this role, you will be responsible for selling our state-of-the-art Density and Viscosity and Refractometry measurement instruments. Your sales territory will cover Southern Texas, with the ideal location being Houston, although other major cities in the territory are also possible.

The base salary range for this position is $71,000 to $79,000 per year, commensurate with capital equipment sales experience, with a preference for specific industry experience. In addition to the base salary, we offer an uncapped commission plan that pays monthly from the first dollar and includes bonuses for meeting and exceeding targets. Our comprehensive benefits package includes a monthly car allowance and mileage reimbursement, profit sharing bonuses, and a $10,000 anniversary bonus every five years.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and cultivate new accounts while effectively managing existing accounts.
  • Deliver engaging presentations to a diverse audience, including executives, managers, and technicians.
  • Qualify opportunities, develop proposals, and successfully close business deals.

Skills and qualifications:

  • Previous experience in sales of capital equipment or analytical instruments is highly desired.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong presentation abilities.
  • Ability to work independently with a commitment to ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Preferably hold a bachelor's degree in a natural sciences or engineering field.
  • Flexibility for regular overnight travel (up to 50% or more).
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and passport.
