Technical Sales Rep – Analytical Instruments (Houston) 1678

Our client is seeking a Technical Sales Representative with expertise in Instrumentation Solutions. In this role, you will be responsible for selling a range of Density and Viscosity and Refractometry measurement instruments. Your sales territory will cover the Southern USA, with the ideal location being in Houston, although other major cities within the territory are also possible.

The salary for this position ranges from $73,000 to $82,000 per year, depending on experience in capital equipment sales, with specific industry experience being preferred. The commission plan is uncapped and pays monthly, starting from the first dollar. Additionally, there are bonuses for meeting and exceeding sales targets. Our client also offers a monthly car allowance and mileage reimbursement, full benefits, profit sharing bonuses, and a $10,000 anniversary bonus every five years.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and develop new accounts, as well as effectively manage existing accounts.
  • Deliver presentations to a range of audiences, including C-suite executives, production managers, and technicians.
  • Qualify opportunities, prepare proposals, and successfully close business deals.

Skills and qualifications:

  • Experience in capital equipment or analytical instruments sales is preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong presentation abilities.
  • Ability to work independently with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with a Bachelor's degree in a natural sciences or engineering field.
  • Availability for frequent overnight travel (up to 40%) is required.
  • Valid driver's license and passport are necessary.
