Technical Sales Rep – Analytical Instruments (Los Angeles) 1662

We are currently seeking a Technical Sales Representative who will be responsible for selling our range of Density, Viscosity, and Refractometry measurement instruments. The territory for this position covers the western USA, with the ideal location being Los Angeles, although other major cities in the territory are also possible.

The salary for this position ranges from $74,500 to $84,200 per year, depending on experience in capital equipment sales, with a preference for specific industry experience. In addition to the base salary, there is an uncapped commission plan that pays monthly from the start, along with bonuses for meeting and exceeding targets. We also offer a monthly car allowance and mileage, full benefits, profit sharing bonuses, and a $10,000 anniversary bonus every five years.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing new accounts and effectively managing existing accounts.
  • Delivering presentations to various audiences, including C-suite executives, production managers, and technicians.
  • Qualifying opportunities, preparing proposals, and closing business deals.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Preference for experience in sales of capital equipment or analytical instruments.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as strong presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently with a strong commitment to customer satisfaction.
  • Bachelor's degree in a natural sciences or engineering field preferred.
  • Availability for frequent overnight travel, up to 50% of the time.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and passport.
