Technical Sales Rep – Analytical Instruments (Philadelphia) 1645

Location: Philadelphia, PA

Our client is looking to fill the position of Instrumentation Specialist within their Technical Sales team. You will be responsible for promoting and selling a range of Density and Viscosity and Refractometry measurement instruments. This role will cover the territory of Pennsylvania (PA) and New Jersey (NJ). Ideally, you will be located in Philadelphia, although other major cities within the territory may be considered.

The salary range for this position is $70,000 to $75,500 per year, depending on experience in capital equipment sales, with preference for specific industry experience. The commission plan is uncapped, offering monthly payouts from the onset and additional bonuses for exceeding targets. Our client also provides a monthly car allowance and mileage reimbursement, comprehensive benefits, profit sharing bonuses, and a $10,000 anniversary bonus every five years.

Responsibilities:

  • Generating new business leads and nurturing existing client relationships.
  • Conducting presentations to both small and large audiences, including C-suite executives, production managers, and technicians.
  • Evaluating opportunities, creating proposals, and successfully closing sales.

Skills and qualifications:

  • Previous experience in sales of capital equipment or analytical instruments is highly preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to deliver effective presentations.
  • Highly independent and committed to ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Preferably holds a Bachelor's degree in natural sciences or engineering.
  • Flexibility for frequent overnight travel, potentially exceeding 50% of working time.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and passport.
