Technical Sales Rep (Chicago) Torque Rheometers & Extruders 1551
Location: Chicago, IL
Our client is seeking a Technical Sales Representative to join their Central Region sales team and drive business growth for torque rheometers and extruders. This position covers the territory of IL, ND, SD, MN, WI, NE, KS, IA, and MO. Ideally, the candidate will be located near Chicago, but other major cities in the territory may be considered.
The salary range for this role is $88,900 to $100,600. The commission plan is uncapped and offers monthly payment from the start, with bonuses for exceeding targets. We provide a monthly car allowance and mileage, comprehensive benefits, a profit sharing contribution to your 401k, and a $10,000 anniversary bonus every five years.Responsibilities:
- Generating and cultivating new accounts while effectively managing existing ones.
- Delivering presentations to various audiences, including C-suite executives, production and lab managers, and technicians.
- Qualifying opportunities, creating and presenting proposals, and closing deals.
Skills and qualifications required:
- Experience in selling to the rubber, plastics, or food industries, with a preference for sales of analytical instruments.
- Strong communication skills and business acumen.
- Ability to work independently with a strong commitment to customer satisfaction.
- Bachelor's degree in natural sciences or engineering preferred.
- Availability for frequent overnight travel (up to 75%).
- Valid driver's license and passport.
