Technical Sales Rep – Process Instrumentation (1735)
Our client, a global leader in laboratory equipment and services, is seeking a Process Instrumentation Sales Specialist to join their team. This role will involve selling cutting-edge analytical instrumentation used in R&D laboratories. The position will cover various locations including Nd, SD, NE, KS, MN, IA, MO, WI, and IL, and the ideal candidate will be based in the Chicago area, although candidates near major airports will also be considered.
Responsibilities:
- Utilize existing knowledge and experience in capital equipment sales, analytical instruments, or Process Instruments to drive sales.
- Deliver compelling written and oral presentations to effectively communicate the benefits of the company's products.
- Work independently with a strong focus on ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with customers to identify their needs and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Travel overnight on a frequent basis (50-60%) to meet with clients.
- Maintain a valid driver's license and passport for business travel.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in capital equipment sales, analytical instruments, or Process Instruments preferred.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, as well as exceptional presentation abilities.
- Ability to work independently with a strong commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
- Bachelor's degree in a natural sciences or engineering field.
- Willingness to travel overnight extensively (50-60%).
- Valid driver's license and passport.
The compensation package for this position includes a base salary ranging from $86,000 to $97,000 per year, depending on experience. The commission plan is uncapped, with monthly payouts starting from the first dollar and accelerating after reaching sales goals. Additionally, a monthly car allowance and mileage reimbursement are provided. The company also offers full benefits, profit sharing bonuses, and a $10,000 anniversary bonus every five years. There may also be a sign-on bonus opportunity available.
