We are currently seeking a Technical Sales Rep for Particle Characterization instruments. Your primary responsibility will be to promote and drive business growth in particle sizing, zeta potential, surface, and porosity methods in the MI and OH region. While the ideal candidate will be based in Detroit, MI, other major cities within the territory will be considered.

The base salary for this position ranges from $92,100/year to $104,300/year, depending on capital equipment sales experience. Candidates with specific industry experience will be given preference. In addition to the base salary, there is an uncapped commission plan that pays monthly from dollar one. The plan also includes bonuses for meeting and exceeding sales targets. Our client offers car/mileage reimbursement, full benefits, profit sharing bonuses, and a $10,000 anniversary bonus every five years.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Identifying and developing new accounts while effectively managing existing ones.
• Delivering presentations to various audiences, including C-suite executives, production managers, and technicians.
• Assessing opportunities, creating proposals, and successfully closing business deals.

Here are the skills and qualifications we are looking for:

• Experience in technical sales, preferably in the field of analytical instruments.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as strong presentation abilities.
• Ability to work independently with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
• Preference for a Bachelor's degree in a natural science or engineering field.
• Willingness to travel overnight frequently (50% - 60% of the time).
• Must have a valid driver's license and passport.
