Test/Software Engineer – TS/SCI w/ FS Polygraph Clearance Required

Location: Linthicum Heights, MD
Our Client is searching for a collaborative and customer-focused team player to work in a mission-oriented environment in Linthicum Heights, MD. The candidate should be a motivated self-starter with strong communication skills and be comfortable working with multiple teams throughout the design, development, and testing process.
We are currently seeking a Test/Software Engineer who will primarily focus on software development to test and validate cryptographic products. As an engineer, you will be responsible for installing, integrating, and testing operational equipment and software to ensure compliance with system design, requirements, and standards. Additionally, you will conduct comprehensive security verification tests on cryptographic product designs and equipment and maintain a broad understanding of the system. The ideal candidate should be adaptable, customer-oriented, and willing to mentor others while also staying updated on new technologies.
Qualifications:
● Active TS/SCI Clearance with Full-Scope Polygraph required
● Proficiency in Python coding language
● Proficiency in C coding language
● Hands-on experience in testing and debugging
● Ability to analyze system requirements and derive tests to validate them
● Capability to write tests using Python for system testing
● Skilled in debugging existing software and resolving defects
● Collaborative experience with hardware and software engineers to develop systems for testing cryptographic products
● Competence in drafting or reviewing test plans and system documentation
● Aid in improving documentation and development process standards
● Assist in developing and executing test procedures for software components
● Ability to modify software to correct errors, adapt to new hardware, or improve performance
● Coordinating software system installation and monitoring equipment functioning to meet operational specifications
Other Highly Desirable Experience:
● Embedded software development
● FPGA experience
● Knowledge of cryptographic protocols, hardware, and software
Education/Experience:
Mid-Career: Four (4) years of experience in test and/or software development and a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science. An additional four (4) years of experience may be substituted for the education requirement.
Senior: Ten (10) years of experience in test and/or software development and a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science. An additional four (4) years of experience may be substituted for the education requirement.
