Trademark Assistant Attorney

Our client, a prestigious international law firm ranked among the top 50 in the AmLaw, is in search of a skilled Trademark Assistant Attorney to join their dynamic team specializing in Trademark/Copyright in the bustling city of New York. This team provides legal counsel to a diverse range of clients, including major trademark portfolio holders from around the globe, on an extensive range of trademark and copyright matters. With their expertise covering domestic and international jurisdictions, this team stays on the forefront of trademark and copyright law innovation.

Qualifications:

• Hold a JD degree from a top-tier law school, with an exceptional academic record.
• Admitted to the Bar and actively practicing law in New York.
• Have 3-5 years of experience dealing with trademark and copyright issues, including litigation.
• Show a keen interest in broadening litigation experience to incorporate more counseling and contentious work.
• Possess strong writing, analytical, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities:

• Manage a wide array of trademark and copyright matters, including clearance, prosecution, and litigation.
• Represent clients in TTAB opposition and cancellation proceedings, trademark and copyright infringement cases, and other related contentious matters.
• Oversee large-scale multinational trademark clearance projects, providing strategic and practical advice tailored to clients’ specific needs.
• Draft and negotiate agreements related to intellectual property rights, including licensing and coexistence agreements.
• Provide innovative and insightful counsel on complex trademark and copyright matters to a diverse client base.
