Trust & Estate Planning Associate Attorney

A highly respected AmLaw 50 law firm in Dallas is looking for a dynamic and motivated Trust & Estate Planning Associate Attorney to join their Estate Planning Practice Group. This position offers a unique opportunity for an attorney with extensive knowledge in estate planning, trust administration, and wealth management to work with affluent individuals, businesses, and charitable organizations.

Qualifications:

• Graduated from an ABA-approved law school with excellent academic credentials.
• Admitted to the Texas State Bar or in the process of obtaining admission.
• 3-5 years of experience in estate planning, trust and estate administration, and tax planning.
• Demonstrated proficiency in drafting comprehensive estate plans, including business succession planning for high-net-worth clients.
• Thorough knowledge of income, gift, estate, and generation-skipping tax planning strategies.
• Experience handling probate proceedings for both taxable and non-taxable estates.
• Familiarity with preparing and processing Federal gift and estate tax returns.
• Expertise in designing charitable giving plans and advising tax-exempt organizations.
• An undergraduate degree in Accounting or a graduate degree in Tax is highly preferred.
• Outstanding legal writing, analytical, and interpersonal skills, with meticulous attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic advice on comprehensive estate planning and wealth transfer strategies to high-net-worth individuals, business owners, and charitable organizations.
• Create sophisticated estate planning and business succession documents, including wills, trusts, and charitable giving instruments.
• Advise clients on estate, gift, and generation-skipping transfer tax matters.
• Support estate and trust administration, including probate proceedings and tax compliance.
• Review and process Federal gift and estate tax returns.
• Collaborate closely with a highly skilled legal team to deliver innovative and personalized estate planning solutions.
