Our client, a highly regarded law firm ranked in the top 50 of the legal industry, is currently seeking a talented and motivated individual to join their esteemed Estate Planning Practice Group in Madison. This exciting position is ideal for an attorney with a strong background in sophisticated estate planning, trust administration, and wealth management who is passionate about working with high-net-worth individuals, businesses, and charitable organizations.

Candidate Profile:

  • Must have obtained a JD from an ABA-approved law school with a proven track record of academic excellence.
  • Current Bar Admission in Wisconsin is required for employment.
  • Relevant 1–4 years of experience in estate planning, trust and estate administration, and tax planning.
  • Experience with drafting advanced estate planning and business succession documents for high-net-worth individuals.
  • Familiarity with gift, estate, and generation-skipping tax planning strategies.
  • Previous involvement in probate proceedings for both taxable and non-taxable estates.
  • Knowledge of processing Federal gift and estate tax returns.
  • Background in charitable giving structures and tax-exempt organization planning.
  • Outstanding legal writing, analytical, and interpersonal skills, with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert advice on sophisticated estate planning and wealth preservation strategies to clients.
  • Draft wills, trusts, business succession planning documents, and charitable giving instruments.
  • Offer expert counsel on estate, gift, and generation-skipping transfer tax matters.
  • Assist with estate and trust administration, including involvement in probate proceedings and tax compliance.
  • Collaborate effectively with a team of skilled attorneys to develop innovative solutions for clients' estate planning needs.
