Job Description
Working under the guidance of supervisors, the medical diagnostic sonographer plays a crucial role in operating advanced ultrasound technology and, if certified as a radiology technologist, conducting X-ray procedures safely. The primary aim of this role is to accurately diagnose and treat anatomical and physiological disorders. Additionally, training will be provided to perform various patient care tasks, including vital sign measurements, EKGs, wound care, and orthopedic splinting. Diagnostic Imaging Supervisors will oversee clinical skills, quality assurance protocols, competencies, etc., on behalf of the Nurse Manager. The successful candidate must maintain a professional demeanor, collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team, possess excellent communication skills, and adhere to organizational policies and Vision Statement.

Required Qualifications:

  • Completion of an approved Ultrasound Technology Training Program
  • A minimum of an associate degree from an accredited educational institution in Diagnostic Medical Sonography is required. Those without an AA Degree but who possess a combination of equivalent education and experience may also be considered.
  • Possession of the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography National Certification upon hire -or-
  • National Registered Technologist - Sonography upon hire
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Possession of the Washington Radiologic Technologist certification upon hire.
  • Possession of the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Registered Technologist - Radiography certification upon hire.
  • Previous experience as a registered sonographer or eligibility for registry with 1 year of medical sonography experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $70,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
