Talent Acquisition Specialist (University Focus)
Our client is looking for an energetic Talent Acquisition Specialist with a specific focus on university recruitment. This position requires you to work on-site near Uniontown, PA.
Key Responsibilities
Outreach & Engagement
- Create and execute strategic recruitment plans that align with the organization's objectives.
- Represent the company at career fairs, university events, and community outreach initiatives.
- Arrange property tours, shadowing experiences, information sessions, and recruitment events to attract top-tier talent.
- Utilize innovative technologies, such as virtual reality, to offer cutting-edge recruitment experiences.
Building Relationships
- Foster partnerships with universities and colleges to establish our client as an employer of choice.
- Collaborate with senior executives, talent acquisition teams, and operating committees to align recruitment strategies with business goals.
- Develop and maintain strong connections with students, faculty, and career services teams to build a robust talent pool.
Candidate Support & Process Management
- Assist candidates throughout the application process, offering personalized support and guidance on requirements and timelines.
- Maintain ongoing connections with candidates through professional networking platforms like LinkedIn.
- Review applications, conduct evaluations, and work with HR to ensure a seamless onboarding process.
- Provide mentorship to interns and new hires, facilitating a positive transition into the organization.
Reporting & Continuous Improvement
- Analyze recruitment data to assess the effectiveness of outreach initiatives and propose strategic enhancements.
- Maintain accurate records in the applicant tracking system and offer insights on market trends.
- Stay updated on developments in higher education and recruitment to identify new sources of talent.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to develop and execute targeted recruitment campaigns.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Human Resources, Business Administration, Marketing).
- 3+ years of experience in university/campus recruitment, talent acquisition, or a related field.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a passion for engaging with diverse audiences.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
- Experience with applicant tracking systems and recruitment tools; tech-savviness.
- Willingness to travel up to 20% for recruitment events.
- Knowledge of Visa Processing is advantageous.
